HPL School – HPL welding and processing workshop

The technology of the application and processing of HPL is quite simple. But the practical knowledge, small «tricks» deriving from experience in work with the material are always welcome in an area of our strongly manufactured field.
On Saturday 4 December, a seminar was held at the headquarters of our company that aimed to send our customers the first practical notions regarding the application and processing of HPL. Now to «hot» after the completion of the meeting we can certainly draw some conclusions:

– It was a pleasant meeting for everyone at the same time, We Gelu Trading Team and our customers, special people, creators of beautiful things!
– The interest in the topic was real. Numerous questions were asked and one of the partners has considered the need to actively participate in the demonstration!

– The young engineer Andrei Boian who made practical demonstration has once again shown skills, security and good communicator skills!

The meeting began with the presentation of the brands of Hpl marketed by our company, highlighting the value of the mix of proposed products:

– high quality HPL in the largest variety of finishes and colors (and with the most competitive price on the market!)
– A complete range of compact HPL for various applications and with a very effective delivery program for the designer but also economically for the customer!
There has also been a discussion on the quality of highly high products and sold by our company and on the topics for which the resulting product is listed as the best of the market as a level of quality, variety but also seriousness of delivery!

The practical demonstration began with the presentation of the adhesive in the cylinder under pressure, adhesive in a very efficient way such as the working speed but in the same way and financially because the price for MP applied is comparable to that of normal adhesives. The application with the gun is uniform, precise and fast. To glue small surfaces, the sticker is also available in the form of spray.

The stickers attack various materials not only HPL on any support (MDF, Pal, Table, Wood, Melamina Pal, Pals with each other). Even the colored glass on the pale without attaching the paint or coloring it! The bond demonstrations were made on flat and curved areas. The engineer Andrei Boian explained and practically shown the succession of application operations and their order. Because using the sticker, the link is no longer a problem (hundreds of square meters can be performed manually!) It has been insisted on the processing of HPL blocked on the support, application and finishing of the HPL edges, on the use of appropriate tools.

Procedures or operations deriving from practice (what any manufacturer wants mainly when he works for the first time!).

Each of the participants, during his business, had various bond operations with several stickers. Many have had unfortunate experiences that have meant largely deformations of the support after gluing or time or detachment. Participants asked questions based on these experiences. Andrei, an adhesive user for some time confirmed what he writes in the technical sheet: the adhesive applied simply, correctly and at the appropriate ambient temperature is perfect for these applications!
In addition, the auditors learned of the main influences in the encouragement provided by the different temperatures of the support and by the HPL applied (hence the need for the two surfaces in the same environment) or the conditions of storage and conservation of the HPL, will be applied, etc.

The meeting was simple, direct. I learned so much on HPL but as many and glued. I also discovered through Andre that the fulfillment of minimal conditions and the use of an adequate adhesive exempt us from delicate problems.
Even one of our customers, a well -known and respected manufacturer in the order furniture told me about the problems that occurred after using a known adhesive in an application in which it was recommended: braking immediately and over time, over time, the final product with a much higher value than HPL!

Participants understood that the HPL application is not a great philosophy. It implies more production in curved areas or when a often support layer must be configured, but these are its strengths against industrialization! The price of the finished product will never be «damaged» by industry or chains! Increase in resistance as a decorative surface, spectacular range of finishes, models, plots but also the special qualities of that compact I make a material with which the Romanian producer will be able to be successful both in the internal and external market!

The simple, direct and non -protocol meeting was successful. We felt in the same team with our customers. There will be others in which the format will be improved. Will be announced through the newsletter.

In the first months of the following year there will also be some of the meetings of HPL producers.
